Traveling to Osun State
The orientation camp is located at NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Aisu College Hospital Road, Ede North Local Government Area, Ede, Osun State.
You might be able to access Ede, the location of the orientation camp directly from most parts of the country. Depending on what part of the country you are travelling from, you can easily access the state capital, Osogbo, by road, then travel from  Osogbo to Ede-a less than an hour journey..

Osun is a state in south-western Nigeria. Its capital is Osogbo. Osun state is bounded in the north by Kwara State, in the east partly by both Ekiti and Ondo States, in the south by Ogun State and in the west by Oyo State.
It was created in 1991—carved out of the old Oyo state and consists of 30 local government areas.

People and Culture
The people of Osun mostly belong to the Yoruba ethnic group. There are also people from other parts of Nigeria.
The native people of the state are mostly traders, artisans and farmers. 

Geography and Climate
Osun enjoys a tropical climate; the rainy season lasts from March to October, while the dry season lasts from November to February. The average annual temperature in Osun state is 26.2 degrees Celsius.
It is a mostly agrarian state. Mineral resources found in the state are gold, clay, limestone and granite.

Notable Places
Perhaps one of the major tourist attractions is the Osun Osogbo Sacred Groove – venue of the internationally recognized Osun Osogbo festival and a UNESCO, world heritage site. There is also a quite a number of places to visit while in the state:
The famous Ife bronze; the Oranmiyan Staff which is believed to be the fighting stick of Oranmiyan, the son of Oduduwa; the Ife Museum; Yeyemolu Shrines and Oduduwa groove, Ile-Ife; Erin-Ijesa Water-falls etc.
Institutions of higher learning in the state include Obafemi Awolowo University, Ladoke Akintola University College of Medicine, Osun State, University, Bowen University Iwo, and Joseph Ayo Babalola University

Interesting Fact
The annual Osun-Osogbo festival is a world-recognized cultural event. Visitors to the festival come from the United States, Brazil, Cuba, Trinidad, Grenada, and other nations in the Americas with a significant Yoruba cultural heritage. The Ọṣun-Ọṣogbo Grove, the shrine of the annual rites of the deity and an important artistic centre, was declared a World Heritage Site in 2005.
