The NYSC camp is located at; NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Kaduna – Abuja Road, Kaduna State.
You can travel by air to Kaduna International airport, Kaduna City, then, travel by bus to the camp. Travellers can also access Kaduna City by road and then travel from there to the camp.

Kaduna is a state in Northwest Nigeria. Its capital is Kaduna City.
Kaduna is bordered by the states of Zamfara, Katsina, and Kano to the north; Bauchi and Plateau to the east; Nasawara to the south; and Niger to the west. Abuja Federal Capital Territory also borders Kaduna state to the southwest. Kaduna State consists of 23 Local Government Areas.

People and Culture
Kaduna State is a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic state and the main ethnic groups include Fulani, Hausa, Bajju, Atyap, Jaba, Adara, Gbagyi, Kurama, Ninzo, Ham, Koro, Kagoro, Gwong, Numana, Gure, Kaninkon, Moro’a, Kagoma, Kadara etc. Kaduna has a rich cultural heritage.
The people engage in Agriculture; cotton and peanuts for export. Other cash crops include Shea nuts, ginger, and peppers; vegetables grown in the riverine floodplains, brown sugar processed locally from sugarcane; onions; and soybeans. The people also practice animal husbandry, commerce and trade.

Geography and Climate
The entire land structure of the state consists of an undulating plateau. There are two main seasons in the state which are; the dry windy season and the rainy (wet) seasons. The average annual temperature in Kaduna is 25.2 degrees Celsius.
The State extends from the tropical grassland known as Guinea Savannah to the Sudan Savannah in the North.

Notable Places
Other major towns in Kaduna state include Zaria, Kagoro, Kafanchan, Kachia and Zonkwa. The notable sites to visit include; Emir’s Palace and City Wall in Zaria; The Nok; The Amalgamation house; Matsirga Waterfalls in Karfachan etc.
Kaduna is home to the following higher institutions of learning; Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria; Kaduna State University, and Nigerian College of Aviation Technology. Maiduguri.

Economic Opportunities
Kaduna is a major economic and industrial centre. It is the largest producer of ginger and Mazie in Nigeria and has an efficient transportation infrastructure of road, rail and airport. It is remarkable for its efficient land management system with a 30 days processing time. The state has high graphite deposits and around 20 deposits of solid minerals.
